Stop Believing, Start Knowing
Whatever you desire in your life, the first step to getting it is to know that you can have it.
Knowing you can have it is different than just having the thought that you can have it.
Knowing is generated by a feeling of certainty and it’s felt throughout the entire body — it’s not just a thought.
So how do you generate the feeling of certainty? Experiencing certainty begins with overcoming doubt.
How do you overcome doubt? Gain new knowledge and take action.
Why gain knowledge? Knowledge gives the intellectual and logical mind information about a new possibility.
I believe it is so important to find someone who has already created the outcome you desire, or something close to it, and learn about their story and what steps they took to do it.
When you have this knowledge and information, it creates a new possibility in your mind and whatever you desire becomes possible. This feeling of possibility is the first step towards experiencing certainty and overcoming doubt.
Once you’ve discovered that something is possible through exposing yourself to new information, the next step is to begin to take action.
Taking action means you begin to map out the steps you need to take and act on them immediately to the extent possible.
At this point, the mind might start producing many stories as to why you can’t do or get what you want. It might point out that you can’t do something because of your current circumstances or other seemingly convincing stories.
Understand that those are just stories of the mind trying to convince you that something won’t work because the ego wants to stay comfortable and avoid pain — it's normal for this to happen.
The purpose of moving beyond the limiting stories of the mind and taking action is to prove to yourself that you are serious about getting what you want and overcoming any lingering doubt.
By taking action, you also begin to experience the feeling of progress which will enhance your feeling of certainty over time.
The process of sustaining certainty means you continue gaining knowledge about what’s possible and taking continuous action towards what you want.
This feeling of progress grows your level of certainty so that you ultimately know you will get what you want and are simply taking the necessary steps to get it.
One final tip to generate certainty is to hold a clear mental image of yourself already having what you want and being the person you want to be.
Throughout the day in your spare moments, bring this mental image to your mind and allow yourself to remember where you’re headed and who you’re becoming.
Know that you can have what you want. Know it.
If someone else has done it, you can to. Learn how to do what they did and take action towards it.
Stop being confused. Stop doubting yourself.
Be empowered and go create the life you want, it's all waiting for you...
